This year the GRTHM team shows in Britain for the first time two important exhibitions from Europe concerning the Holocaust against the Roma Sinti. To take the theme of the historical exhibition from the Documentation and Cultural Centre of the German Roma and Sinti further into the present day the curator of one of them, Eva Sajovic, decided to surround the exhibition with contemporary works. Our Romski Pstryk/Romani Click project become part of this show.

Akademia Pstryk on Well-London programme

Participants should bring a box of any description or material and we will show you how to turn it into a camera.  Then we'll experiment taking photos around the local area in a very unusual way.  The process is very straightforward so participants will be able to carry on at home afterwards if they want to.  The results of pinhole photography are particularly intriguing so everybody will want to have a go.

The workshop will be facilitated by an artist Marta Kotlarska and will take place from 10am to 4pm at Grassroots, Memorial Park, Memorial Avenue, West Ham, London E15 3DB  on 23th May and will be suitable for all ages.

The Well London programme is funded by the Big Lottery fund.
